Meet Margaret

Margaret is a dedicated family recovery coach who empowers families to find hope, clarity, and healing in the face of addiction. Drawing on her own lived experience—growing up with addiction, navigating her own recovery, and supporting her spouse and children through theirs—she brings deep empathy, wisdom, and practical tools to her work.

As an ACC (Associate Certified Coach) credential holder through the International Coaching Federation, Margaret upholds the highest standards of ethical, client-centered coaching. She is also a certified BALM® Family Recovery Coach and BALM® 12 Principles Facilitator (Being A Loving Mirror), guiding families through a proven curriculum that transforms fear and chaos into peace and purposeful action. The BALM® 12 Principles help families learn to communicate with love, set healthy boundaries, reduce enabling, and become their loved one’s best chance at recovery—all while caring for their own well-being.

Margaret also draws on over two decades as an educator supporting students with anxiety, learning differences, and mental health challenges. She holds a BA in Social Science and an Ohio Teaching License with a Reading Endorsement. Certified in mindfulness, she has created school-based mindfulness curricula and presented at national conferences. She thoughtfully weaves mindfulness and the BALM® approach into her coaching to help families rediscover connection, resilience, and peace.

Margaret believes that with love, mindfulness, and a structured path like the BALM® 12 Principles, healing is possible—not just for individuals, but for entire families.
